An industry-leading portfolio of gaming devices spanning from desktops, notebooks, tablets, monitors, to peripherals were showcased at the event, which was joined by members of TeamAcer eSports who shared how their professional insights helped push the Predator line to its limits.
“We first announced our gaming strategy to the global press in New York this April; today, you will see how our cross-platform offering of Predator gaming products represents our relentless pursuit of design and technological excellence,” said Jason Chen, Corporate President and CEO, Acer. “With our outstanding R&D talent, passion, and precious gamer insights from TeamAcer, we now deliver the best-in-class experience for serious gamers, members of what we call the Predator Tribe.”
Acer also shared its vision for future additions to the Predator family including projectors ideal for bringing along to LAN parties and smartphones optimized for gaming with virtual surround sound and haptic feedback.
The renewed Acer Predator gaming series represents the company’s passion and commitment in this market that is accelerating at an astonishing pace. Acer has engaged in eSports since 2009 and supports “TeamAcer,” the eSports team with over 30 professional players. According to the Open Gaming Alliance, the gaming market is expected to grow from US$26 billion in 2014 to US$35 billion by 2018.
Empowering Gamers to Conquer New Worlds with Pioneering Technologies
The renewed Predator line of gaming products from Acer were designed to provide a no-compromise experience in both performance and design for serious gamers that demand the best gear.
For instance, the Predator 17 and Predator 15 notebooks support the Predator FrostCore, a third fan module that may be swapped in with the optical drive to lower the CPU and GPU temperature further by up to 5%, providing a smoother gaming experience especially when the system has a heavy loading.
The Predator 8 tablet supports Predator Quadio, an array of four speakers with a special DSP algorithm to enhance sound quality with virtual surround, in addition to Predator TacSense, which provides haptic feedback for games and videos.
Power packed, the Predator G6 and G3 desktops are unstoppable war machines that feature an intimidating armor-covered design on the chassis, while powered by 6th generation Intel® Core™ processors, up to 64GB DDR4 system memory, and NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX graphics. The Predator G6 features“One-Punch Overclocking”, which can unleash the full potential of the machine with the press of a button, while both desktops feature Acer IceTunnel, an enhanced thermal system which optimizes airflow and brings out internal heat more efficiently.
In addition, the Predator Z35 monitor features NVIDIA® G-SYNC™ and a 35-inch 21:9 UltraWide Full HD (2560x1080) panel with a curvature of 2000R and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz (overclockable to 200Hz) for an immersive, wraparound gaming experience.
Finally, Acer also refreshed its premium Aspire V Nitro series notebooks designed for those seeking an immersive sensory experience and serious computing power. Refreshes include a breakthrough slot-antenna design, where it is discretely positioned on one corner of the display ensuring 360-degree wireless coverage with no dead zones. The Aspire V Nitro series is ideal for gamers and power users who prefer a discrete, elegant design that fits as well in a boardroom as it does at a gaming party.
The new products were unveiled today at the next@acer press event at IFA Berlin in Germany, where the company announced its latest devices and solutions for gamers and consumers for the holiday season.
